Replayfy vs Lucky Orange

Auto-upgrade is a product decision, and we made the other one.

Written by the Replayfy team at AppifyCommerce. Competitor facts last checked against their own pages on 2026-08-27. If something here has gone stale, tell us and we'll fix it.

Lucky Orange has been doing this a long time and does a lot of it well: heatmaps, live view, form analytics, unlimited team members on every tier. On features it is ahead of us in several places, and we will say which below.

Its one-star reviews are almost entirely about one thing, and it is not the product. Customers report being moved to a higher-priced plan on exceeding a limit, without advance notice — in some cases to a tier costing hundreds a month, discovered on the card statement. Others report the charge failing because the amount exceeded a virtual card's limit, which is how they found out at all.

We are a much smaller company and we cannot out-feature them today. What we can do is make the billing behaviour a promise rather than a setting: reaching your session limit never changes your plan and never creates a charge. We stop storing, we count what we would have stored, and we tell you. Upgrading is always something you do.

Where Lucky Orange wins

  • Heatmaps, live visitor view, form analytics and surveys — none of which we have.
  • A far longer track record and a much bigger support organisation.
  • Deeper e-commerce integrations, including checkout coverage we do not attempt.

If you need heatmaps and live view today, they have them and we do not. If you have been burned by a surprise upgrade and want a tool that structurally cannot do that to you, that is the trade this page is offering.
