What we promise about billing
We never auto-upgrade you
Reaching your session limit does not move you to a bigger plan and does not create a charge. Nothing about what you pay changes unless you change it.
We never bill an overage
There is no per-session overage rate, because there is no overage. At your limit we stop storing new recordings and tell you — in the app and by email.
We never sample silently
If you set sampling yourself, we honour it. We will never quietly start recording a fraction of your traffic to keep you under a quota, because partial data you believe is complete is worse than no data.
Bots and 5-second bounces don't count
A crawler that hits your site 300 times does not eat your quota. Neither does a session shorter than five seconds, or one with no interaction at all — there is nothing in it to watch.
Questions people actually ask
What counts as a session?
One visit in one browser tab that produced something worth replaying. It is scoped to the tab and expires with it — there is no cookie and no persistent identifier, so the same person on two days is two sessions and we have no way of knowing they were the same person.
What happens when I hit my limit?
We keep counting so you can see the real number, and we stop storing new recordings. Everything already recorded stays watchable for its full history. Sessions already in progress finish and are stored — half a replay is worse than none.
Do teammates cost extra?
No. Every paid plan has unlimited teammates, and per-site access control is included, not an enterprise add-on. The free plan is capped at 3 people because it is a free plan, not because seats are the product.
Can I delete a single recording?
Yes — one recording, or every recording belonging to one visitor, removed from the database and from object storage immediately. That is worth saying out loud because the best-known free tool in this category cannot: its own FAQ says you have to delete the entire project.
Where is the data stored?
On Cloudflare's network, in our own account. It is never sold, never used to train anything, and never fed to an advertising platform. See our sub-processor list.
